Spitting Feathers Brewery, established in 2005 by Matthew Walley and Terry Ashford, is a family-owned brewery based at Common Farm in Waverton, Chester. They produce a range of vegan-friendly and gluten-free beers, including session ales, IPAs, stouts, and seasonal specials like Honey Trap, brewed with honey from their own beehives. Their commitment to sustainability is evident as they utilize spent grains to feed their livestock, which in turn supply meat for their pubs. The brewery operates several venues, including The Brewery Tap in Chester, known for its farm-to-fork ethos, and The West Kirby Tap. They also host monthly Brewbarn Sessions, offering brewery tours, tastings, live music, and wood-fired pizzas. In July, they hold an annual Beer Festival featuring over 30 beers and ciders, with proceeds supporting local charities. Additionally, Spitting Feathers is expanding with the upcoming Station Tap at Chester Railway Station, aiming to provide a unique craft beer experience for travelers and locals alike.
