Beer Festival

The Regal, Wetherspoon’s Spring Beer Festival

Wed 5 - Sun 16 March 2025

38-39 Saint Andrew's Street, Cambridge

A range of 30 real ales, including five from international brewers, will be available during a 12-day beer festival this spring.

The festival will run from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 16 March, inclusive.

The overseas brewers are from Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand and the USA.

None of the festival beers has previously been available at Wetherspoon.

Among the festival collection are vegan (also suitable for vegetarians) beers. Full allergen information about all of the beers featured can be found on this website, by searching for a pub here, on the app and on each pub’s customer information screen.

As well as featuring a range of malt and hop varieties from around the world, there are also beers which include cherries and cocoa beans in their ingredients.

The international beers are Wallaby (Penny Red, Australia), Estuary Session Ale (Land & Sea, Canada), Chocolate Porter (Birra Perugia, Italy), Antipodean (Brew Moon, New Zealand) and Hey Pal (Terrapin, USA).

Among others, the festival line-up also includes Boudicca (Brains), Persephone (Brewster’s), Vienna (Harviestoun), Beerhart (Mad Squirrel), Gulpa (Redemption) and Alpha Female (Rooster’s).

Marketing manager Jen Swindells said: “The festival is a great celebration of real ale.

“It will allow us, over a 12-day period, to showcase a selection of superb value-for-money beers, including those from brewers as far afield as Canada and New Zealand, as well as those closer to home.

“This festival features five female international brewers, with many of the beers having been brewed, or the brewing assisted, by female brewers. Indeed, in the past, most beer was brewed by women – known as ‘brewsters’.”

“The event will also give customers the opportunity to enjoy beers which have not previously been available in the pubs, as well as those brewed especially for the festival.”

Three third-of-a-pint tasters will also be available for the price of a pint.
