Steel City Beer & Cider Festival

The Steel City Beer & Cider Festival 2025 – a flagship event by Sheffield CAMRA at the atmospheric Kelham Island Museum – brings together a vibrant celebration of real ale, craft beers, ciders, perry, and mead. Attendees can enjoy over 200 cask ales, around 50 keg craft beers, and 30+ ciders and perries, including traditional farmhouse varieties and locally produced meads. A dedicated Guest Breweries room highlights regional producers like Turning Point Brew Co., Radio City Beer Works, and Ossett Brewery.

It’s more than just drinks—expect a lively festival atmosphere with street food vendors, traditional pub games, tombola, and the impressive River Don steam engine firing up demos, all staged within the historic mill setting. Educational treats include heritage “Little Chicago” talks and guided tours, along with Bradfield Brewery-tasting sessions, while live entertainment ranges from blues, soul, folk rock, brass band performances, to Kelham Island rapper dancing.

Organised entirely by passionate CAMRA volunteers, the festival’s soul lies in celebrating beer culture—showcasing styles from traditional bitters to bold IPAs, sours, and gluten-free options, alongside farmhouse ciders and perries from artisan makers. It’s a welcoming showcase of local brewing diversity and heritage, set against a backdrop steeped in industrial history, with charitable proceeds benefitting Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
