Watsons Brewery

Watsons Brewery is a tiny, artisanal brewery in Old Heath, Colchester that’s been hand-crafting unfined, unfiltered beers by gravity (without pumping) since 2016. The brewer produces a large assortment of small-batch beers—many unique one-offs rather than a fixed core range—spanning porters, stouts, hop-forward ales and experimental brews often featuring fresh ingredients like mango, ginger or coffee alongside classic malts and hops. Beers are typically served in casks at local pubs and festivals rather than widely distributed bottles, and the brewery’s approach emphasises traditional real-ale sensibilities with creative twists.
