Brains Brewery

Cardiff

Brains Brewery is one of the UK’s longest-running independent regional breweries, founded in 1882 in Cardiff, Wales, and still family owned more than 140 years later. They brew a broad portfolio of beers at their Dragon Brewery in Cardiff Bay using a mix of traditional techniques and modern brewing science, producing everything from classic cask ales like Brains Bitter and Brains Dark to lagers, IPAs and seasonal or limited-release beers. Over the decades Brains grew into a major regional brand (once owning hundreds of pubs) and today its beers are widely available across Wales and the UK in pubs, retailers and events, while the brewery remains focused on quality, consistency and its Welsh heritage.

Brew Monster Brewhouse

Caerphilly

Brew Monster Brewhouse is an award-winning microbrewery based in Caerphilly, Wales, that produces small-batch craft beers. Originally started in Cwmbran before moving its brewing operations and opening a taproom in Caerphilly, the company also runs a prominent tap house in central Cardiff.

Bullmastiff Brewery

Cardiff

Bullmastiff is a long‑loved Welsh beer brand known for its traditional, full‑flavoured ales. Originally founded in Cardiff, the brewery built a strong following for classics like Son of a Beast and Gold Mastiff. Although the original brewery site has since closed, Bullmastiff beers continue to be brewed to the original recipes under new ownership — meaning they’re still widely available across South Wales and regularly featured at festivals.
