Coldframe Brewery

Coldframe is a small brewery in Cornwall, crafting beer that speaks of the land it comes from. Grain focused, we work directly with local farmers to brew with single-origin, raw barley—grain in its purest form, unaltered by industrial processing. We take inspiration from farmhouse brewing, where beer was a natural extension of agriculture—made with what was on hand, shaped by the seasons, and deeply tied to place. By embracing raw grain, whole-leaf hops, we let our ingredients lead the way, creating beers that feel honest, rustic, and full of character. Brewing is a balance of process and patience—allowing simple ingredients to develop depth and complexity over time. Every step is intentional, preserving the raw materials’ integrity and character from field to glass. By cutting out the malting process, we stay closer to the land, reducing unnecessary steps between field and beer. It means our beer reflects the grain’s true character, offering something rare—beer with a direct connection to where it was grown. This is beer with a sense of place. Raw, expressive, and deeply tied to the landscape in which it was made.
