Magic Dragon Brewing

Magic Dragon Brewing traces its roots back to 1985 (originally as Plassey Brewery), and was reborn under its current name in 2017. They operate a 12-barrel plant in Eyton, near Wrexham, and brew a core range of cask ales, keg beers, bottles and mini-kegs — plus occasional seasonal specials. Their beers use quality ingredients, including Marris Otter malt and Welsh water, aiming for traditional Welsh real-ale styles with a modern twist. Recent years have seen them win multiple awards, for example, at the inaugural Indie Beer Cymru competition in 2025, with their “House of Coffee” porter and “Nectaron IPA” both receiving top honours.
