Purple Moose Brewery, nestled in the historic harbour town of Porthmadog in North Wales, crafts its award-winning ales using water sourced from Snowdonia and 100% UK‑malted barley. Founded by homebrew enthusiast Lawrence Washington—who began experimenting in 1995 and launched the commercial brewery in 2005—the brewery expanded its capacity from a modest 10-barrel system to a 40-barrel brewhouse by 2013.
