Isle of Wight Steam Railway Shunt Fest and Winter Ales Festival

Step back in time and witness the heavy lifters, hard workers, and quiet workhorses of the tracks.
On the 7th and 8th of November, the Isle of Wight Steam Railway proudly hosts Shunt Fest—a weekend dedicated
entirely to celebrating the unsung heroes of Britain’s railways: the shunters.

As well as our Shunters, enjoy a pint at our winter ales festival, featuring a fantastic selection of rich, seasonal brews.
making it the perfect weekend of heritage rail, great beers, and entertainment.

At Havenstreet Station, The Whistle Stop Café is thrilled to host our annual Winter Ales Festival, showcasing a
specially curated selection of rich, robust winter brews. Whether you are a connoisseur of classic stouts or looking
to discover a new perfect pint. Escape the chill, sit back by the comforting glow of our roaring log burner, and
soak in the atmosphere. It is the ultimate way to spend a cosy winter afternoon with great drinks, and fantastic company.
