Cuillin Brewery
Cuillin Brewery is a small microbrewery located at Sligachan on the Isle of Skye, nestled at the foot of the iconic Cuillin mountain range. Operating a 5-barrel brewing system, this hands-on team crafts a mix of traditional malt-forward ales (like Eagle Ale, Pinnacle, Old Bridge, and Blackhouse) along with rotational and collaborative beers, such as a seaweed IPA, coffee milk stout, barrel-aged stout, and experimental brews in partnership with local producers like Skye Seaweed and Raasay Distillery. Known for soft mountain water that shapes their unique beer character, Cuillin achieved national acclaim when its Cuillin Beast was crowned Champion Beer of Scotland in 2011, and several of their bold brews have earned numerous CAMRA and festival awards over the years. The brewery shop is open daily and welcomes visitors with cans, bottles, merchandise, and occasional impromptu tours at the adjacent Sligachan Hotel bar—even if licensing restricts direct on-site pouring.
