Harviestoun Brewery

Harviestoun Brewery is a renowned independent craft brewery founded in 1983 in a stone barn near Tillicoultry and now based in Alva, Scotland. It produces a diverse range of award-winning beers—including the world-famous Schiehallion pilsner (named World’s Best Pilsner in 2008) and Bitter & Twisted golden ale (Champion Beer of Britain 2003). Other popular brews include seasonal stouts like Old Engine Oil and whisky-cask-aged Ola Dubh, along with cask ales and canned lagers/pale ales. Still independently owned after a brief spell under Caledonian, Harviestoun remains committed to quality, local ingredients, and innovative brewing—from traditional cask to modern craft styles—celebrated in their 40th anniversary in 2023.
