Heritage Brewing Company

Heritage Brewing Company, Burton upon Trent

Heritage Brewing Company is a Burton upon Trent-based brewery established in 2015 when Planning Solutions Ltd purchased the William Worthington 25-barrel plant from Molson Coors within the National Brewery Centre. It specialises in reviving classic Burton ales, using traditional brewing methods with the town’s signature hard water to recreate historic recipes—such as Charrington IPA, Masterpiece (a version of Worthington White Shield), Offiler’s Best Bitter, and various seasonal styles like Fireside Ale and X Porter. After the Brewery Centre closed in 2022, Heritage relocated and formally merged with Burton Bridge Brewery Ltd in April 2024, joining forces to become the town’s largest independent brewery and continuing to brew all ales by hand at their permanent site at the Burton Bridge Inn. They offer taproom experiences, mini‑barrels for home enjoyment, and uphold Burton’s rich brewing legacy by blending historic flavours with modern revivalist ambition.
