Innis & Gunn

Innis and Gunn Edinburgh City Centre Brewery Taproom, Edinburgh

Innis & Gunn is a Scottish craft brewery founded in Edinburgh in 2003 by master brewer Dougal Gunn Sharp, renowned for pioneering oak barrel-aged beer—especially its flagship “The Original,” aged in bourbon casks for 77 days—and later expanding into lagers and IPAs. Based in Perth’s 20,000 hl innovation brewery, it also contract-brews in Glasgow and has plans for a new large-scale brewery in Edinburgh. Exporting to over 35 countries and selling millions of cases annually, Innis & Gunn’s lager has recently earned top honours—“Scotland’s Best Beer” Gold at the 2024 World Beer Awards, solidifying its position as one of the UK’s leading craft beer brands.
