Townhouse was set up in 2002 in Audley, Staffordshire with a 2.5-barrel plant that expanded to five barrels in 2004. In 2006 two further fermenting vessels were added allowing distribution of the bulk of its beer to the Potteries. In 2021 the brewery relocated to Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. Canning is planned.
