Localfest 25

The Newsome Centre (based in the former St John’s Church) will be hosting our first Beer Festival.
The event will be a celebration of our many locally brewed beers around Huddersfield and local musical talent and will help raise vital funds for The Newsome Centre. The former Church building in Newsome which now has an old Victorian bar.
It’s a great venue for a beer festival. The beer glasses fit nicely on the shelf in front of the pews which were previously used for hymn books!
We have loads of great local brewers around Huddersfield so we thought it would be a really good idea to have a festival dedicated to local beers.
It’s not just local ales but also we will have local musicians to entertain as well.”
On Friday night we have talented young local singer Evie Jane, Saturday afternoon we have gypsy swing band Al Django’s Party and Saturday night entertainment will be provided by the band Lilian Strange.!
