Cerne Abbas Brewery

Cerne Abbas Brewery, Dorchester

Cerne Abbas Brewery, established in 2014 in Dorset's Cerne Valley, continues the village's rich brewing tradition dating back to the 10th century. Utilizing the area's greensand and chalk-filtered water, they craft beers with locally sourced ingredients, including barley from Dorset's longest-standing organic farmer. Their commitment to sustainability is evident, as spent grain is returned to local farms for livestock feed, minimizing waste and food miles. The brewery offers a taproom with a beer garden, hosts events, and provides free local delivery of their award-winning ales, such as the Gurt Coconuts Rum Stout, which earned Silver at the Great British Beer Festival Winter 2024.
