Fate brought us together at Hawkshead Brewery and in a short time it became clear we shared a passion for great beer and many ideals. After being made redundant at the beginning of lockdown restrictions in March 2020. Matt, Michelle & Steve reunited as Lakes Brew Co. Bringing together the shared ambition to be one of Cumbria’s progressive, sociably innovative breweries. With a strong ethos of support and collaboration, through the beers we produce and the team we surround ourselves with – engrained in our locality.

Craft Beer Expo 2027

Black Lodge Brewing, Liverpool

Liverpool’s annual celebration of the UK’s finest independent breweries will return in 2027. The Craft Beer Expo has played host to great beer, food and music for 14 years and is the longest-running craft beer festival in the UK. We will be back at black lodge brewery down in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle on their sprawling site with something for everyone over the weekend, including cider, cocktails, natty wine and street food.
