Breweries · Swansea
Swansea and the Gower brew with a coastal character all their own. Meet the breweries, then follow them to the festivals they pour at.
The Swansea brewing scene
Swansea's beer scene mixes the established and the new. Tomos Watkin has long been a south Wales name, while Boss Brewing and Gower Brewery lead a modern set turning out everything from clean lager to hop-forward pale.
Many of these breweries run their own bar, and the city makes an easy base for a Gower beer trip. They turn up at festivals across the region, so a favourite brewery is a short step to a day out.

Founded in 1996, Tomos Watkin has always been a family-owned brewery. Despite now being owned by its third family, the focus has always remained the same: to brew the best Welsh ales and lagers. The current range includes popular classics whilst introducing some new Welsh legends.
