Wylam Brewery

Wylam Brewery, Newcastle upon Tyne

Wylam Brewery, founded in 2000 in the village of Wylam, Northumberland, has grown into one of the North East’s premier craft brewers. In 2016, they relocated to the stunning Grade II‑listed Palace of Arts in Newcastle’s Exhibition Park, installing a modern 30‑barrel brewhouse and opening a stylish taproom and kitchen serving keg and cask beers—including flagship IPA Jakehead, heritage cask ales, guest taps, spirits, and seasonal fare—alongside burgers, loaded fries, and Sunday roasts. Their site also hosts vibrant events—live music, food festivals, weddings, and corporate gatherings in the Grand Hall—plus weekly brewery tours and ongoing collaborations and community partnerships, such as donating proceeds from their Limonata Pale Ale to the Wildlife Trust. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and heritage, Wylam Brewery offers an immersive craft beer experience rooted in local culture and creative events.
