The Met’s annual celebration of local breweries, the art of beer making, music and community returns this November.
Our historic Derby Hall will be taken over for two days by our beloved Beer Festival as we welcome breweries from across the borough of Bury along with their vast array or artisan and craft beers for you to taste, discuss and enjoy.
These local brewery bars will have a range of cask and keg creations from across the area. We’ll also have a cider bar, a gin bar and some wine tasting. Plus we’ll be finding unique guest beers from across the country for your tastes to savour!
Confirmed as appearing so far are:
Beartown Brewery – a hardworking northern brewery from Congleton
Brewsmith Beer – A family-run microbrewery based in Ramsbottom
Brightside Brewing Company – An established brewery based in Radcliffe
Juggernaut Brew Co – An Ashton-based brewery
Northern Monkey Brew Co – award winning micro brewery based in Bolton.
Northern Whisper Brewing Co – traditional values and innovative ideas from Rossendale
Pomona Island Brew Co – an independent craft brewery based in Salford
Wakey Wakey Brew Co – a brewery based in Rochdale’s historic Flying Horse Hotel
Alongside our breweries, the weekend will also include local live entertainment, music, and the chance to speak to our local breweries to learn everything you can about the craft of beer making.
The Met is committed to reducing our environmental impact and will not be using plastic glasses at the festival. Branded glasses will be available at the event.
We’d like to remind all patrons to drink responsibly. There is a taxi bay outside of the venue and car parking close by if a member of your party is a designated driver. Non-alcoholic options will be available.
Bury Beer Festival is The Met’s main annual fund-raising event. We are a registered charity, and funds raised through the festival help to support our work with communities, audiences and artists, ensuring we can continue to develop new ideas to keep everyone entertained, engaged and supported now and into the future.
