Broughton Ales

Founded in 1979 and known as one of Scotland’s earliest microbreweries, Broughton built a reputation for traditional Scottish ales such as Old Jock, Wee Jock, and Greenmantle. In recent years the brewery faced the same economic pressures affecting many Scottish independents, ultimately leading to its closure. However, the brands were retained, and Broughton beers continue to be brewed — ensuring favourites like the Jock family ales remain available.
