Hop Back Brewery is an independent brewery founded in 1986 by John Gilbert in Salisbury, England. It started by brewing in the cellar of the Wyndham Arms pub and has grown steadily through both craft innovation and award-winning beers, most notably their flagship ale, Summer Lightning. Over the decades they expanded into larger facilities in Downton and invested in modern brewing equipment while retaining a strong focus on quality raw materials and traditional brewing techniques. The brewery maintains a national distribution footprint, a portfolio of core and seasonal beers, and has retained its roots in the local pub scene.
