Moonwake Beer Co

Moonwake Beer Co is a modern, award‑winning craft brewery and taproom nestled in Leith, Edinburgh, founded in 2021 by seasoned brewers Vinny Rosario (formerly from New Zealand) and Finlay Heslop. Its name—“Moonwake”—symbolises the moon’s reflection on water, reflecting both its Shore location and its philosophy of quality and provenance. Precision‑brewed on a gleaming 35 hL three‑vessel system, the brewery produces a wide array of styles—from hazy NEIPAs and saison‑inspired sours (like peach, kiwi, honeyberry, Gose) to a saffron rice lager, cask‑conditioned pale ale, West Coast IPA and traditional German weissbier—several of which have earned medals at the 2023 Scottish Beer Awards and SIBA. Their bright, accessible taproom offers mezzanine seating overlooking the brewery, an outdoor beer garden, a cosy back bar (available for private hire), and is dog‑ and wheelchair‑friendly, recognised as Scotland’s Best Beer Destination in 2023.
