71 Brewing Ltd

Dundee

Established in 2016, 71 Brewing revived Dundee's brewing tradition after a 50-year hiatus. Operating from a historic ironworks in the Blackness area, the brewery crafts modern beers inspired by traditional European styles and contemporary techniques. Their offerings include crisp lagers and small-batch brews, with a commitment to quality and innovation. Beyond brewing, 71 Brewing engages in community collaborations, such as creating a blueberry sour beer with Transition Dundee to combat food waste. The brewery also provides tours, inviting visitors to explore their process and enjoy tastings.

Holy Goat Brewing

Dundee

Holy Goat is a Dundee based brewery specialising in the production of mixed- fermentation and wood aged beers. We have taken an unconventional approach to yeast and fermentation, opting for a proprietary method that utilises Brettanomyces yeast for long maturation times (typically 3-4 months) to produce unique, complex, full-flavoured sour beer. Mixed fermentation refers to the use of unconventional yeasts and bacteria in brewing, which allows production of beers with unique character. We are driven by experimentation and are obsessed with the awesome flavours which can be achieved from mixed-culture fermentations.

Howe Beer Project

Cupar

An idea about how to build community around beer, a community that supports each other, that can connect in a local, modern gathering place. This idea of a microbrewery and social hall started rolling around in our heads after Kevin started brewing professionally a few years ago, and it has slowly gained momentum. After many discussions and spreadsheets, the moons of Jupiter aligned and this wild idea started to take shape. Our aim is to keep it simple and sustainable - as we get ready to open our doors, we’re repurposing what’s already on site, sourcing what we need locally or secondhand whenever possible, and supporting other small, local businesses and trades wherever we can. The Howe Beer Project is sited in the middle of one of the UK's major barley producing regions, and we hope to explore ways of building shorter supply chains to bring Fife’s barley straight to our beers.
